The perfectly uncomplicated chocolate sauce for those who prefer desserts to be on the “dark side”
(Makes about 1 1/2 cup)
- 60g cocoa powder
- 200ml water
- 120g caster sugar
- 25g butter, diced
- Combine cocoa powder, water, and sugar in a saucepan and stir over heat until sugar dissolved. Bring to boil.
- Take off fire and stir in butter until melted. Then strain through a sieve.
- Sauce can be served hot or cold (refrigerate for at least 2 hours)
